Technician

Results Expected

  • Maintain network/computers at customers locations to industry standards
  • Troubleshoot various computer/network problems at customers locations in a timely manner
  • Interface with customers, identify their concerns and find solutions to achieve customers satisfaction
  • Utilize ConnectWise to report status & document progress of service requests in real-time.
  • Utilize ConnectWise to properly document problems & solutions Maintain professional and relaxed attitude in high pressure situations

 

Position Responsibilities

  • Travel to customers locations to fix various problems
  • Keep current of new updates and industry trends
  • Attend training sessions
  • Arrive at customer’s location or SSI office on time
  • Keep customers informed of work being performed and changes to original plan and time
  • Troubleshoot problems and research solutions while protecting customers data
  • Diagnose problems, inform customers of possible solutions, and implement solutions while maintaining communication with customer
  • Verify current antivirus, backup and MS patches
  • Install new hardware and software for customers
  • Maintain supply of misc parts as per supply list
  • Have reliable transportation, transport material when necessary
  • Call COO if unable to meet customer demands

 

Technical Abilities Necessary

  • MSCDT certified or equivalent skill level
  • Troubleshoot Windows OS and Desktop Software
  • Installation & troubleshooting of new software and upgrades, OS upgrades and patches
  • Computer & peripheral setup
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software & network issues at a desktop level
  • Install, configure & troubleshoot desktop data backup and recovery
  • Virus, Spyware and worm removal and repair

 

Term of Position

  • 90 Day Probationary period extending 9 months with satisfactory review
  • Thereafter quarterly reviews with annual contract review
  • Commission reviews as needed
